The Song of the Innocence & the Experienc The painting is based on the story “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury.
One of the most fascinating and at the same time petrifying stories, it creates an environment of suspense that thrills the reader into paying attention and makes the story terrifyingly memorable.
Originally appearing as “The World the Children Made” in the September 23, 1950, issue of The Saturday Evening Post, it was republished under its current name in the 1951 anthology The Illustrated Man.

The painting finds Wendy and Peter at the next stage of their journey. The world of the Adults has been dealt with. They are finally Free. Two lions lie next to them. All the main characters have been united in the Veld, where the Sun and the Moon aliened in one Face. They are singing the Song of the Innocence and the Experience.
